Ms. Douglas' Bio
Maggie Douglas was born and grew up in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. She moved to Omaha in 2000 to attend Creighton University. She graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. In 2011, she graduated from University of Nebraska-Omaha with a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education with a focus in math and science.
Her experience is varied and she has led: Speech Club, Knitting Club, Student Council, and the Spirit Rally Committee. She has worked on the School Improvement, Math and Language Arts Professional Learning Teams. Miss Douglas was instrumental in establishing new curriculum and creating a school-wide leveled library. She has a background that is technologically proficient and has had the opportunity to share this through her instruction. She has a positive attitude that comes through in her care for students.
Miss Douglas has spent her last five years teaching sixth grade at Christ the King School, a Recognized School of Excellence. While at Christ the King she was responsible for coordinating the Middle School as team coordinator. She prepared schedules and led weekly staff meetings. She is a true professional who is dynamic and consistently inspires students to achieve and grow academically. Her passion is in helping students to be the best they can be. She is looking forward to starting her sixth year as a teacher, her first with Wilson Focus School teaching sixth grade.
