Mr. Anderson's Bio
Wade Anderson was born in Fremont, NE and grew up on a farm in northeast Nebraska. He moved to Omaha in 2004 to attend the University of Nebraska-Omaha. He graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. In 2015, he graduated from University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Master’s Degree in Mathematics participating in the NebraskaMath – Math in the Middle cohort that focused on teaching, learning, teacher education, and middle level mathematics for grades 6th – 8th.
Mr. Anderson began his teaching career with the Omaha Public Schools at Indian Hill Elementary in 2009. He worked at Indian Hill for 7 years where he taught 5th and 6th grades, and was also the technology specialist. He has been an active member of Indian Hill’s Technology committee, Social committee, Wellness committee, and Adopt-a-School Partnership. Mr. Anderson also volunteered his time by tutoring and coaching athletics after school.
In his free time, Mr. Anderson enjoys reading a good book, completing DIY projects, and spending time outside. Mr. Anderson is excited to be joining the staff and families here at Wilson Focus School. He hopes to inspire his students to set high goals and achieve them – celebrating success along the way!
