"Earth" without "Art" would just be "eh"!

Welcome, my name is Jenny Deutsch.

I am delighted to be here at Wilson Focus School!  I began my career with Omaha Public Schools in 2005, and I am excited to now be a part of the Wilson Focus School staff.

I am originally from South Dakota, and early on I realized that I wanted a career that included my two favorite topics - children and art. I received my Bachelor of Fine Art (BFA) and K-12 teaching certificate from the University of South Dakota. My emphasis was in oil painting, and I continue to try to learn everything new about the art world!  I received my Masters of Science in secondary education with an emphasis in art from the University of Nebraska in Omaha in 2009.  Recently, I completed my ESL (English as a Second Language) endorsement from Concordia University in the spring of 2011.

My goals as an art teacher is to help my students discover the joy and beauty of the world of art, find personal success and a creative outlet.  Please stop by the art room and see the wonderful projects concepts our students are working on.  Don’t forget to ask your artists what they are working on!

Creatively yours,

Jenny Deutsch
