Andrea Boyd is an Omaha native and a proud graduate of Omaha Public Schools (Go Huskies!). She has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and will finish her Master’s Degree in Special Education in May 2020.
Ms. Boyd began her career in education in 2013, working as a special education teacher in Colorado Springs, CO. She has taught elementary and middle school.
Ms. Boyd is passionate about getting students involved in their education and making learning exciting, relevant, and engaging for all learners. Ms. Boyd is passionate about inclusion, positive behavior interventions and supports, and building meaningful relationships with students. She believes that education transforms lives and that every child deserves a teacher who believes in their potential.
Outside of school, Ms. Boyd enjoys hiking, spending time with her five siblings and their children, petting every cat or dog she passes on the street, and playing board games with her family and friends. She is also an advocate and coach for the Special Olympics of Nebraska and enjoys giving back to her community through community service. You can also find Ms. Boyd in Lincoln (or on the road) cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Memorial Stadium.
